Hayselden VW Doncaster is a family owned car dealership that was established in 1959. Hayselden has branches in Doncaster and Barnsley and it stocks a wide range of new and used VW cars.

The dealership wanted a new telecoms system that could combine call logging, auto-attendant and voicemail. They also wanted a system that would allow them to make basic changes in-house, and also to monitor their advertising campaigns using call logger.


Russell Telecom undertook a comprehensive evaluation of the companyʼs telecommunications systems.
Russell Telecom decided that the feature rich NEC SV8100 telephone system would suit the dealershipʼs requirements ideally.


The system includes an integrated digital voicemail, which not only provides a night and day service and auto attendant but also provides call recording. The dealership was supplied with handsets with digital display, call recording and speed dial functionality.

In addition, NECʼs MyCalls Manager call management software was installed.
The SV8100 MyCalls Manager is easy to use and has many features, which include:

Real time graphical summary of calls
Historical reports to be generated at user defined times and intervals
Number of calls received
Number of calls abandoned
Call duration

The software enables the dealership to measure how long callers are waiting before they hang up and how much time and money they spend on the telephone, as well as to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns.

Finally, Russell Telecom analysed the dealershipʼs telephone usage and costs and have forecast a cost reduction in telephone bills using the new call package.
