Frequently Asked Questions
The bandwidth required depends on the number of concurrent calls you are likely to make, determined by the quantity of SIP lines you require. SIP trunks in general require only 128kbps per SIP to provide the highest quality speech transmission. The most stability, contention and latency of the broadband circuit is more important. In general, we recommend a dedicated broadband for the voice SIP service. For smaller customers, we recommend customers share their voice and data on the same broadband, using our prioritised broadband product, this way we can prioritise voice over data.
Using Netlink up to fifty SV9100 communication PBX platforms can operate and manage as a single system. This centralises SIP Lines, Voicemail, and operators, reducing costs on licensing and sharing features and applications across the entire network.
There are multiple mobility solutions on the SV9100 for home working. Hotdesking will allow the user to unplug their IP desk phone and take it home, NEC Univerge ST500 Smartphone APP syncs with the user’s desk phone, and NEC also have a Softphone for use on a laptop or PC. These solutions provide all the features required for users who require mobility.
